The hiden villages or a residence place of the Kachin People

There are many interesting places in notheast parts of the Kachin State in Myanmar, where the Mali Hka (Irrawaddy) and the N Mai Hka (east fork of the Irrawwaddy) are originated.

It is a quite far from the city and even some of the Myanmar citizin do not know and no one of the foreigner visits to the villages until now as the difficulty of the transportation. There is no way for any vehicles. The total area of the land is covered with undisturbed-natural forests and is hills and mountains up to the height of 5881 above the sea level. It has about 33,903 square miles.
At first, most of the Kachin (Singpo)  live in their own land. They had a separated country before the British Rule the whole country, but then it became a part of Myanmar after their regime. This is why the Kachin became one of the races of Myanmar.

At the villages,Myanmar government can’t reach and it is under the controlled of the eithnic Kachin Independence Army. Although they are in Myanmar, all the residents can’t speak Burmese and use their Hkahku Kachin Language for communicate. They pan for gold and work hill-side cultivation for living.

From generations to generations the Kachin People migrated from one place to another and the higher place to the lower part.Among Kachin, the educated families are located in the plain cities and the majority of the uneducated Kachin people remain on the hill side villages. Some parents struggle to  send thier  children to the town for learning.Nowadays, some of the Kachin people are in abroad.
